The Link Between Motion and Emotion
Since 2019, Kevin has delivered bespoke exercise sessions across Central London and internationally, supporting neurodiverse children and young people aged 5 to 20+. He works in collaboration with respected professionals, including the Dr Giaroli Centre on Harley Street, ensuring a well-rounded and considered approach to each child’s progress.
Every programme is individually tailored to help children and teenagers with additional needs build confidence, develop physical skills, and discover activities where they can succeed and feel comfortable. Sessions are thoughtfully structured to encourage positive participation in sport and movement, providing a supportive environment where young people can grow without fear of exclusion or overwhelm.
Most parents know of the health benefits of exercise. It promotes healthy weight, improves cardiovascular function and reduces stress. However, the mental health and behavioural benefits of exercise are equally important but less familiar.
Exercise increases the release of several brain chemicals like endorphins and dopamine, which affect our brain’s functioning. Exercise supports the whole body, including the brain, in functioning at its highest potential. Several studies have looked at the effects of exercise in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. They show clear evidence that exercise improves attention, concentration, organizational skills and emotional regulation.
